How to Reset ( Recover ) Windows 7 Password

If you forgot your Windows 7 Password then don't worry of losing your documents and other important files . In this post I will show you how to reset Windows 7 password .

Requirements :-

1.Pen Drive (or) Blank CD
2.chntpw ( Download it )

Instructions :-

1.Extract the files to a Pendrive or burn it to a cd .
2.If you are using a Pen drive make sure its bootable .
  To boot the pendrive
     run the command prompt as an administrator
    Type :  H:syslinux.exe –ma H:
    " H " means drive letter of the Pen drive .
     you should replace " H " with pen drive's drive letter if it wasn't " H " .
    This will create a boot loader on pen drive .
    And also make sure that USB boot is enabled in Bios .
3.Reboot you PC .
4.At start up , a screen will appear showing copyright information , hit enter to continue .

5.Then select the partition where you installed the Windows .
6.In next step keep the default and press enter .
7.Then screen will look like this (not exactly) .

 8.Select Clear (blank) user password ( select 1 and hit enter) .

9.Type the user name you want to reset and hit enter .
10.Now you have to save the data before quitting .

 To save data press ! and hit enter and then press y and hit enter and press ctrl+alt+del to reboot .

Now you can login into Windows without prompting for password .
